Technical gas lump sulphur

Market

Technical gas Lump sulfur has is widely used in the chemical, agricultural, medical, food, paper, rubber industry, while production of fertilizers, matches, gunpowder and dyes. Especially such relatively new fields of manufacturing and construction including road building deserve attention. Here lump sulfur is used for production of sulfuric foam and building structures of high strength, In particular, for the production of sulfur concrete and sulphur asphalt. The most of the world's lump sulfur is used as a raw material for industrial production of sulfuric acid.

Lump sulphur is produced of natural gas compounds, such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide. World production of sulfur ranges from 70 to 80 million tons per year - the largest sulfur producers on the global market are the Middle East today (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, United Arab Emirates), North America (USA and Canada) and the countries of the former Soviet Union (Russia, Kazakhstan Turkmenistan).

About 30% of the sulfur produced in Russia is used in the country: the main consumers are the chemical, pulp and paper, wood processing, mining and metallurgical industry. The remaining two-thirds of sulfur is exported. The main importers of the global sulfur today are North and South Africa, South America, China, South-East Asia and India.

There are several forms of sulfur commodities: The main forms are lump, granular and liquid forms.

Lump sulfur (technical gas lump sulphur) - one of the most common forms of sulfur commodity.

Lump sulfur advantages - simple production technology. It is produced by filling and solidification of liquid sulfur, followed by milling the obtained blocks. As a result of lump sulfur opening, storage and transport it can make dust, ignite spontaneous, lose weight, contaminate and become moist, which are the main drawbacks of such form of the sulphur commodity.

Ground sulfur for the production of rubber products and rubber is obtained by mills grinding of lump sulfur.

Transportation of lump sulfur is carried in bulk or in big bags, this package allows to avoid quality and quantity losses in the process of transportation and storage.
